Now that it is finally cooling down and I have received my new Motivator poles I have started walking again. I love them. For the first time in a long time I am walking, standing tall and my back and knees are not yelling at me. How is this possible? I don't know I just know that they have done wonders for me. Thank you so much for making my life easier.
Good looking, functional, solid and stable. Still getting used to the somewhat funky hand grip, which so far I find less effective than the more standard grip I had on my previous walking sticks. All said I am happy with these

I can’t say enough good things about this product and York Nordic. The poles are reassuringly sturdy yet very lightweight. I bought a cheaper pair last year on Amazon which never inspired mu confidence. Also shipping was fast and to my door. Communication excellent. Buy directly from York even if available on amazon since their CS and shipping reliability have really gone downhill.
I’m very happy with these travel Nordic walking poles. They fold down very compactly, which is exactly what I wanted for traveling and carrying them in a bag.
I initially ordered the wrong size by mistake, and York Nordic was extremely helpful with the exchange. Then one of the replacement poles arrived with an adhesive issue, but Lauren from customer service responded quickly, explained how I could temporarily repair it, reassured me about the warranty, and even arranged another replacement with expedited shipping because I was about to travel to Japan.
The customer service was outstanding throughout the whole process. I really appreciated how kind, responsive, and accommodating they were.
I repaired the loose section with super glue as recommended and have already used the poles for Nordic walking without any problem.

I have MS which has made walking difficult for me especially on the right side. I have used a number of different canes for the last number of years. Chat GPT actually turned me on to these poles specifically saying how much they could help me. I was skeptical but gave them a shot and man what a game changer these poles have been for me.. I’m walking more upright with a level flow and the grips I think is what makes these poles so effective. They are lightweight and cool looking.. I am never going back to a cane again.. The walking sticks are great. They are both strong and light.
My only complaint is about the "tall and big" grips. I'm 6'4" and have fairly large hands but the palm edge ledges on these are too low relative to the finger grooves and thumb rests.
They are quite usable but I am constantly reminded of a less than comfortable grasp.
I recommend an option to change the grips.

As a recent above knee amputee, using these walking sticks while learning to walk on my prosthetic has been extremely beneficial. Using a cane is awkward and not good for my posture.
It took about 4 months of constant use, but I finally wore through the tips. I tried other tips from various stores and they lasted maybe 3 or 4 days, at most.
When I ordered additional tips I accidentally ordered the wrong size. I sent an email and received excellent service and the corrected size very quickly. The quality is far superior, as are the walking sticks!
The poles are easy to assemble and disassemble. We love the storage bags. They seem sturdy.
I bought these to allow me to hike hills with my arthritic thumb. At first they seemed to work well, but lately I seem to still have pain in my thumb. They are well made and sturdy. However the interlocking segments contact each other and make a loud clacking sound. I had to put duct tape between the joints to quiet them. Also the wrist straps have buckles that don't cinch down to prevent the straps from pulling out.
I could not be happier with these poles. They are light but sturdy and easy to use. Appreciate the carry bag for storing them in my car.
I know this was originally for bikers, but it's awesome for throwing on when walking to work or cross country skiing.
I have severe scoliosis and these poles are so comfortable and supportive - they really help me keep moving! I have used regular trekking poles in the past, but I would get hand fatigue and sometimes even numbness in my hands. I have used a cane in the past, but I would get both hand and shoulder pain with a cane. The York Nordic Motivator poles have solved both of these issues. I highly recommend them. I also strongly recommend getting a FlexTip base with a spring as for the added shock absorption and a longer life for the tips - the typical rubber tips don't last long if you walk a lot. These trekking poles are sturdy and have fun designs. The handles are very comfortable and provide great support for balance on uneven surfaces or on even surfaces if you have balance problems. The only downside is that if you are using them in a therapy clinic to trial for patients, adjusting the height is not simple and it takes time to get both sides even. For that purpose, button settings would be easier. But if you are purchasing for a single person use, then once they are adjusted for the height, they stay put.
These flip locks are easy to use and hold my poles firmly at the right height. I know that I will need to keep tabs on these flip locks to make sure they don't come lose and fall off. I am VERY pleased that, in addition to the flip lock that I ordered to replace a lost one on my foldable poles, York Nordic included an extra set for my new poles. That really impressed me!
I bought these motivator poles to every-day use at home to keep my gait correct and reduce stress on my joints. I already have a pair of the folding ones for travel. My wrists thank me for using poles with the grips these have that let my wrist rest and my thumb stay in a position that reduces stress on my hand and wrist. My physical therapist is quite impressed with my poles. And I get compliments on the appearance of my poles!
I had a comibnation ear infection (which threw me off balance compltely) and an emotional shock which stopped me in my tracks (literally).
These poles have set me back on course. Only three days in but I'm moving again. Love them!
I have had other really nice walking poles, but the handgrips for the York Nordic poles are a real game changer. I’m taking these on vacation!
The poles are adjustable to just the right height. They are sturdy enough to stop, lean, and rest (and I’m a big person). Customer service was quick and helpful. Would recommend.
Love the spring assist feature
The only issue that I have is that it is too easy to lose the flip lock. I tried my best to keep them tightened, but I lost them both. Now, I have to pay to get new ones. I am probably going to put something around the pole to be sure that I don't lose them again. I have used these poles for months now, including two months traveling with two of the weeks doing a lot of walking tours. I was having wrist pain using regular hiking poles. The thumb grip and palm cradle on these poles really helped. Also, the poles collapse down to a size that fits my newer checked luggage (smaller than my old luggage). I have the older version that does not have push buttons to connect the pieces. They have connector inserts that have worked well for me because it made it so easy to take apart and put together quickly which was important when traveling by train. I hope they last a long time.
