Yesterday, asked couple to take the pik for me so I could send in w/raving review and ended up talking for an extended time and they wanted to know all about & show them & online info! And fold up so well to travel with! 👍👍👍

I bought these to allow me to hike hills with my arthritic thumb. At first they seemed to work well, but lately I seem to still have pain in my thumb. They are well made and sturdy. However the interlocking segments contact each other and make a loud clacking sound. I had to put duct tape between the joints to quiet them. Also the wrist straps have buckles that don't cinch down to prevent the straps from pulling out.

The only issue that I have is that it is too easy to lose the flip lock. I tried my best to keep them tightened, but I lost them both. Now, I have to pay to get new ones. I am probably going to put something around the pole to be sure that I don't lose them again. I have used these poles for months now, including two months traveling with two of the weeks doing a lot of walking tours. I was having wrist pain using regular hiking poles. The thumb grip and palm cradle on these poles really helped. Also, the poles collapse down to a size that fits my newer checked luggage (smaller than my old luggage). I have the older version that does not have push buttons to connect the pieces. They have connector inserts that have worked well for me because it made it so easy to take apart and put together quickly which was important when traveling by train. I hope they last a long time.

My favorite poles. Made even better with the straps. Not that the straps are needed when walking, bu necessary so when I stop I dont drop them! This is the second set, I found that I needed the short, rather than the extra short. My height is 5'0". Even with my boots on I'm not 5'3", however the extra short poles needed to be set above the max length. I don't feel comfortable with that.

I love my new foldable walking poles. They are so convenient to use when out hiking. Recently brought them with me to the Berkshires; they made trekking through the snow so easy!

I am a PT and learned about these fabulous poles at our recent National Convention in Boston. I bought myself (56 yrs) and my mother in-law ( 88 yrs) both a pair. At first my mother in-law said she didn’t want to use them in public because she didn’t want people to think she’s an “invalid”. Then she
tried them and loved how they help her stand up straight when walking! I myself get more of a total body work out engaging my upper trunk and arms and I absolutely love them!! My mother in-law uses the collapsible pair with the neutral grip handles for walking and it has made a difference in her posture and confidence while walking with more stability on a variety of surfaces. I have the Nordic poles which help me focus on cardio and strength while using them. They are great for all ages! Highly recommend!!!

I loved these poles. They are easy to fold and unfold, pack easily in my suitcase, and are just the right height for me.

I bought a pair for my daughter. I've had my set of hiking sticks for years and have absolutely loved them.

I have a pair of Nordic walking poles, but was traveling so I got these - they are fantastic, as well. I would not have been able to keep up on a trip to Italy without them. Packable, easy to extend and put away. My only thing is at just 5'7" - I wish I had gotten the smaller ones. They're okay, but I'll think I need them a hair shorter and there's no hair to shorten them to!

I have a very bad back. Walking with these poles has been amazing! It takes so much pressure off and I'm standing straighter. I don't lean on them, just walk normally. I'm getting a second pair to keep in my car!

I took my new hiking poles to Norway this summer. They were easy to use - put together, adjust etc. Seem study. I hope to get many years from my new hiking sticks.

I bought these for a Special Olympic athlete for snowshoeing. He is about 4 1/2 feet tall and normally walks with crutches. These worked great for him. We practice on grass (not much snow where I live) so the ability to use the snap-on feet on grass gave him the ability to practice with the poles and use the same poles at races on (manmade) snow.

These poles are easy to take along on vacations or in a tote. I can get in a Nordic walk anywhere and best of all it fits shorties like me (5'2")

I purchased the Nordic poles several months ago. The shorter length is perfect. I love the Nordic poles. I use them for long walks and hiking in the countryside. I have problems with my knees and the Nordic poles help to keep my balance and I can walk much longer than ever before. They help me to exercise. The price was great. Pauline

Thank you for making a product that gave me a lot of my life beck. I have a payload lef from the knee down and developed a painful debilitating disease following the paralysis. Wheelchair bound. Now I'm walking with my York Shaorter length trek poles. I am even able or wal on sand with the pole baskets included. The hand grips unclip from the pole and can stay on your hands until you need the poles again. They unclip and break down to about 18" and lock securely that way until you ready to use them they are far more stable than any cane, walker, scooter etc.... Than I have used in the past. And a nice feature is they look and are athletic. It changes the way you feel about using a mobility aid and it changes how other people see you. These things rock, I cannot say enough good about them. Thank you York Nordic.

Far better to have balanced use of body for movement than a cane to one side. Thanks for making my size! Also when intentionally pushed against, these help to evenly straighten posture. Owner actually took my phone call and welcomed me to call back. Fantastic product. The folding and reopening is simple and when done properly, keeps poles set to height. These ought to replace canes. The grip is well thought out. I discovered, when I need to wait, the angle at top if grip is just right for comfort. Straps keep pole available as soon as my hand is free again. There's a psychological benefit for anyone who has been active before need of medical support. And, when I can return to hiking, I'll have the perfect poles!

I've had many different trekking poles but the York Nordic poles I find to be the best. They collapse so they're easily manageable and they have an excellent easy open easy close locking device. The GoPro attachment on top allows me to video my trecking Adventures. What even makes York Nordic stand out even more is there support and service department definitely deserving five stars Plus

I bought these poles in order to take them with me when traveling. A wee bit hard to justify given that I own a pair of Leki Spin poles. Here's the deal: took them for a spin first thing when they arrived. They fit together nicely, like tent poles, which seemed like a bad design for a sturdy rugged pole to be used out of doors in various terrain, but no worries. These poles performed better, felt sturdier and more rugged than my Leki poles. They vibrated less, weighed less, had better functioning rubber tips, and more comfortable grips. Love the cork on the handle. I walk longer and tire less with Nordic walking poles and would recommend these without hesitation.

For those who complain about vibration, I find that with any brand, it's more about your technique and takes some practice and experimentation to get the best results. Patience and practice pays off.

My only wish would be for a higher end bag, which I would pay to purchase. Glad to have the travel bag included, but wouldn't mind the option of upgrading. The expected quality of customer service tells me that they care about their business and product and will back it up.

Both my husband and I use these poles. They're sturdy, easy to use and have nice grips. Since both of us are short, the poles were originally a little too long, but we contacted York Nordic and figured out a way to disassemble and shorten them by 6 in. And now I see that they've come out with a model for us shorter people! My husband just broke some ribs in a home accident and finds that using the poles helps him get around and accomplish his daily activities!!
